Golf Community Homes for Sale in Maricopa, Arizona

Maricopa is a growing city in Pinal County, south of the Phoenix area along SR 347. Despite the name, it is not in Maricopa County, and it has been a popular option for buyers looking for newer homes, community amenities and a more affordable price point. These are the newest homes for sale in Maricopa where Golf is listed as a community feature in the MLS listing data. Golf communities range from private country clubs to public courses that wind through a neighborhood, so it helps to know which kind you are looking at.

Questions to Ask About Golf Communities

  • Is club membership required, optional or a separate purchase, and what are the dues and initiation costs?
  • Are golf privileges included with the home, or do they transfer separately?
  • What do the HOA fees cover, and have there been special assessments?
  • Is the course public, semi-private or private?

Before You Buy

The MLS "Golf" feature does not tell you whether a club membership is included or required, so confirm membership rules, dues and HOA fees before you make an offer.

Every purchase is different, and I'm a strong negotiator who keeps negotiating until the keys are in my client's hands. On some homes you may also be able to take over the seller's existing FHA, VA or USDA loan; see my assumable mortgage guide.
