Sun City Grand ("The Grand") Homes, Floor Plans and Amenities

Del Webb opened Sun City Grand in Surprise in 1996 and finished it in 2005. Today the community calls itself "The Grand." It has 9,550 homes and 252 La Solana condos on 4,000 acres, about 17,000 residents, four championship golf courses and more than 65 clubs. Buyers here shop by model more than anywhere else in the Valley, so this page starts with every Grand floor plan, what each one sells for, and the homes for sale right now that are that model.

Sun City Grand models and floor plans

Every Grand home belongs to a series, and the series tells you the lot size. Estate homes sit on lots about 90 feet wide, Premier homes about 70 feet and Classic homes about 60 feet. Courtyard, Cottage and Garden Villa homes have front yards the association maintains for an extra yearly fee. Plan numbers in the 9100s were built in Phase 1, and the 9200s in Phase 2.

Most-sold models first. Original sizes are Del Webb's base plans; many homes were built with extensions, so listings can show more space. Beds, baths and median sale come from about three years of listings on this site that name the model. "Get plan" sends Terry your request and he'll email you the floor plan.

Sun City Grand FAQ

How do I tell which model a Grand home is?

Look for the model name or plan number in the listing, such as P9106 for the Stonecrest. The letter is the series (E Estate, P Premier, S Classic, C Courtyard or Cottage, G Garden Villa) and 9100s are Phase 1, 9200s Phase 2. If a listing doesn't say, Terry can look it up.

Which Sun City Grand models sell the most?

Over the last three years the Madera, Stonecrest, Palo Verde and Borgata have been the most-listed models, followed by the Mission and Sierra.

Is Sun City Grand the same as Sun City or Sun City West?

No. All three are Del Webb communities, but each has its own association, rec centers, golf and fees. A Grand card doesn't get you into Sun City or Sun City West facilities.
