Gilbert has five golf courses, and most homes right on a course are in two places: Trilogy at Power Ranch, a gated 55+ community in southeast Gilbert, and Seville in far south Gilbert, built around a private country club. The other three courses, along Warner and Guadalupe Roads, are public courses set among older neighborhoods.
I'm Terry Day with DeLex Realty. Gilbert is better known for parks, farms-turned-neighborhoods and lakes than for golf, so buyers are often surprised to find a private club, a 55+ golf community and three public courses all inside town limits. Each one feels different, and the homes near them range from older resale homes to newer homes in a master-planned community. Here is what I checked about each course, and what I look at with my clients before buying a home on or near the course.

Gilbert's courses fall into three pockets. Two public courses sit along Warner Road in the north-central part of town. Kokopelli is on the northwest side off Guadalupe Road. The two courses with the most homes built right along them, Power Ranch and Seville, are in the newer southeast and south parts of Gilbert, closer to the Loop 202 Santan corridor and the Queen Creek wash.
If you want a home with the course right behind your back wall, the southeast and south pockets are where I usually start. If you would rather live near a public course you can play anytime and keep your home choices wide open, the Warner and Guadalupe areas are worth a look.
Power Ranch Golf Club (Trilogy at Power Ranch). This 18-hole, par 71 course at 4415 E. Village Parkway was designed by Dick Bailey and opened in 1999. It runs through Trilogy at Power Ranch, a gated, age-restricted community that Shea Homes built in the 2000s, and follows the Queen Creek wash for part of its route. Tee-time sites list it as open to daily-fee play. The course changed ownership in 2026 as part of a multi-course sale, with the same management company still running it, according to local news.
Seville Golf & Country Club. Seville's private 18-hole course, designed by Gary Panks, is the centerpiece of the Seville master-planned community that Shea Homes developed. The club is now operated by Invited (formerly ClubCorp) and sells several levels of golf and social membership. In March 2024 it hosted the LPGA's Ford Championship, the first professional tournament held there. Some Seville homes back right onto the course, and some have both lake and course views.
Western Skies Golf Club. A public 18-hole course at 1245 E. Warner Road, designed by Brian Whitcomb and open since the early 1990s. The roughly 138-acre property changed hands in 2024; the sale report mentioned no plan to redevelop it.
Greenfield Lakes Golf Course. A public, executive-length 18-hole course at 2484 E. Warner Road, designed by Ray Pacioni and opened in 1997. Executive courses are shorter, which many players like for a quick round.
Kokopelli Golf Club. A par 72, 18-hole daily-fee course at 1800 W. Guadalupe Road, designed by Bill Phillips, with seven lakes in play.
Just outside town, Gilbert buyers also play Superstition Springs and Augusta Ranch in Mesa, and Ocotillo and Lone Tree in Chandler. If a listing says "golf" in its community features, it may mean one of these nearby courses rather than a Gilbert course, so I always check which one.
How many golf courses are in Gilbert?
Five: Western Skies, Greenfield Lakes, Kokopelli, Power Ranch Golf Club and Seville Golf & Country Club. Several more courses in Mesa and Chandler are a short drive away.
Can anyone play the courses in Gilbert?
Four of the five take public tee times. Seville Golf & Country Club is private, so play there is through club membership.
Is there a 55+ golf community in Gilbert?
Yes, Trilogy at Power Ranch is a gated, age-restricted community built around the Power Ranch course. Gilbert also has other 55+ options, which I cover on my Gilbert 55+ homes page.
Does a golf course lot cost more?
Often, yes, because of the view and open space behind the home, but it depends on the community, the hole and the direction the home faces. I compare golf lots with similar non-golf homes in the same community before you make an offer.
