About the school

Boulder Creek opened in 2004 and calls itself the Home of the Jaguars, with red and black as its school colors. Its stated vision is for every student to graduate with the skills for success after high school, and its core values go by the word PRIDE: Prepared, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Everyone United.

• Advanced classes: the school lists AP, honors, gifted classes and dual enrollment. Dual enrollment is through Rio Salado Community College, and families pay that college's tuition.
• Certificates of distinction: students can work toward Academic, STEM or Global Studies distinctions.
• Career and technical education: on-campus programs include Early Childhood Education, Education Professions, Engineering Sciences (Project Lead the Way), Film and TV Production, Finance, Graphic and Web Design, Marketing, and Software and App Design. Students can also apply for West-MEC programs and programs at other DVUSD high schools.
• Fine arts: band and percussion, guitar, five choirs including two show choirs, dance, piano, theatre and visual arts such as ceramics and painting.
• Athletics: the AIA lists the school in the 6A conference, Desert Valley region, with fall, winter and spring sports from football and volleyball to swim, tennis, baseball and track, plus spiritline and esports.

Bell schedule

On a regular day the first bell rings at 7:25 a.m. and classes run from 7:30 a.m. to 2:12 p.m. Most Wednesdays and Thursdays are flex days with a FLEX period in the morning, and most Fridays are early release days that end at 12:42 p.m. Half days for conferences and finals end at 11:00 a.m. The front office is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Check the school calendar each year, since schedules change.

Attendance boundaries and enrollment

Deer Valley assigns high schools by address. Use the district's school boundary map, which has a high school layer and an address search. Homes near a school are not guaranteed to be assigned to it, so always confirm boundaries with the district for the exact address before you buy. District planning documents also list Anthem-area boundary changes for the 2027-28 school year, which is another reason to check.

• Registration: 2027-28 registration opens November 2, 2026, online through the district. The school asks for a birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency in the attendance area, transcripts and other records.
• Open enrollment: families outside the boundary can request any DVUSD school if there is space. Principals decide based on capacity, and families provide their own transportation.
• Buses: the district's Find Your Bus tool shows bus routes and stops.
