The school describes its goal as engaging, inspiring and caring for students through strong teaching and real connections, and its vision is for every student to be known, valued and ready for what comes next. Its motto is "Work Hard and Be Nice."

STEAM: the district's secondary STEAM program uses hands-on, problem-based projects, the engineering design process, coding and labs, and includes career exploration.
Journey gifted program: an application-based program where a team of three teachers blends science, social studies and English language arts in daily blocks.
Honors classes: honors English and honors algebra in 7th and 8th grade, plus honors geometry in 8th grade.

Attendance boundaries and enrollment

PVSchools has two ways in. Families who live inside the school's boundary use traditional enrollment: fill out the district forms and register online. Families outside the boundary, or outside the district, can apply through open enrollment. Some groups get priority, and when a school or program is full, seats go to a waitlist or a lottery. Open enrollment students do not get district bus service.

The school lists Boulder Creek, Eagle Ridge and Sky Crossing as its elementary feeder schools. The district's "Locate a School" map on its enrollment page shows boundaries, which were redrawn for the 2024-25 school year. Always confirm boundaries with the district for the exact address. Buying a home near a school does not guarantee your child will be assigned to it, and boundaries can change.
