If you want a walkable, central feel

The East Valley and West Valley have many newer communities. Compare Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Goodyear and Surprise.
If you want space and desert views

If you want an active adult community
Explore Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise and my active adult page.
If you want more space for the money
Pinal County areas such as Casa Grande, Maricopa and San Tan Valley often offer more house for the price, with longer drives to central Phoenix.
