Sundance Homes for Sale in Buckeye, AZ 85326

Sundance is an established master-planned community in Buckeye, just south of I-10 around Watson Road. It has single-family homes built from the early 2000s through the 2020s, the public 18-hole Sundance Golf Club, an age-restricted 55+ section called Sundance Adult Village, and Sundance Towne Center shopping at Watson and Yuma roads.

Sundance is one of the easiest Buckeye communities to live in day to day. You are close to the freeway, Walmart and Lowe’s are a few minutes away, and you can pick from older golf-course homes, newer sections and a 55+ village, all under one name. Here is what I tell buyers before we tour.

Where it is

Sundance sits on the south side of I-10 in Buckeye’s 85326 ZIP code. Watson Road is the main road in and out, and the Sundance Residential HOA office is on South Watson Road. From the Watson Road interchange you can be on I-10 in minutes, heading east toward Goodyear and Phoenix or west toward the rest of Buckeye.

Sundance Towne Center, at Watson Road and Yuma Road, opened in 2007. It was developed by Vestar and has a Walmart Supercenter, Lowe’s and PetSmart, plus a long list of restaurants and service shops. Having that much shopping this close is one of Sundance’s biggest everyday perks.

The homes

Sundance was built in parcels, and MLS listings name them as Sundance Parcel 12, Parcel 27, Parcel 31, Sundance Cove, Village at Sundance and others. The homes I see listed were built from about 2002 up to 2023. Builder names on those listings include Meritage Homes, D.R. Horton, Hancock Homes, Grayston Homes and Century Communities.

Most are one- and two-story single-family homes with two- or three-car garages, and some back up to the golf course or have White Tank or Estrella mountain views. Newer sections such as Village at Sundance had homes built in the 2020s; if you are looking at a builder home, read why to bring your own agent on new construction, and ask me which builders are still selling.

Things to do

The public Sundance Golf Club runs through the community. It is an 18-hole course designed by Greg Nash and opened in 2003, and the fairways wind past many of the homes. Sundance also has neighborhood parks and walking paths, and the shopping and restaurants at Sundance Towne Center are right next door.

Sundance Adult Village, the 55+ section, has its own activity center with a gym, fitness classes, a lending library and a computer area, plus pools and a hot tub for its residents. You can learn more on my Buckeye 55+ homes page.

Schools

Most of Sundance is in the Buckeye Elementary School District and the Buckeye Union High School District, and the HOA notes that some addresses fall in the Liberty Elementary School District. Sundance Elementary (PK-8) is on West Hadley Street, and listings also show Inca Elementary and John S. McCain III Elementary. High school listings show Youngker High School or Buckeye Union High School. Confirm the assigned schools for any address with the district.

HOA basics

The main association is the Sundance Residential Homeowners Association, managed by AAM, with assessments billed quarterly. An Architectural Review Committee must approve exterior changes, including landscaping, before work starts. Sundance Adult Village has its own association and age rules, so a home there may follow a different set of documents. I always pull the HOA documents and current fees for the exact home before you write an offer.

Buying in Sundance

Because Sundance mixes 20-year-old homes with newer ones, I compare each home to sales in the same parcel and from the same builder, and I look closely at roof age, A/C units and any solar.
