Ironwood Crossing is a Fulton Homes master-planned community in the Town of Queen Creek, between Germann and Ocotillo roads and Meridian Road and Ironwood Drive, with 85140 addresses. It has single-family homes built from about 2009 into the late 2010s, many neighborhood parks, a community aquatic center and a disc golf course.
I'm Terry Day with DeLex Realty. Ironwood Crossing confuses a lot of buyers because some listings still show a San Tan Valley address while others say Queen Creek. The answer is that the Town of Queen Creek annexed the community in 2018, and the 85140 ZIP code covers both towns. Here is what I tell buyers and sellers about the neighborhood.

Queen Creek Town Council minutes from March 2018 describe the Ironwood Crossing annexation as about 1,485 acres, generally between Germann Road on the north and Ocotillo Road on the south, and between Meridian Road on the west and Ironwood Drive on the east. A later Town report put the annexation at nearly 1,500 acres and 1,550 homes. Before that, the area sat inside the boundary people were proposing for a future San Tan Valley town, and residents pushed to join Queen Creek instead.
So today Ironwood Crossing is part of Queen Creek, even though you will still see "San Tan Valley, AZ 85140" on some listings and older records. When I pull tax, utility and permit information for a home here, I make sure it is coming from the right town. Banner Ironwood Medical Center is on Gantzel Road in the same 85140 ZIP code.
Fulton Homes built Ironwood Crossing and was marketing it as a master-planned community by 2011. Resale listings I reviewed show homes built from about 2009 through 2019, ranging from roughly 1,500 square feet to well over 2,400 square feet.
The MLS splits the neighborhood into recorded plats, so listings carry names such as Ironwood Crossing Unit 2, Unit 3b, Unit 4b and Unit 4c, and some are spelled "Ironwood Crossings." The search button on this page pulls in all of those plat names so you see the whole community in one place.
Fulton built the community around parks. Its early materials describe about twenty neighborhood parks with ramadas, barbecues and basketball courts, plus an aquatic center with a large pool that is partly shaded, a splash pad and a clubhouse with a kitchen. Listings name the Mary Lou Fulton Aquatic Center and the Gregory Wayne Fulton Disc Golf Course, and mention a spa, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce, greenbelts and walking paths.
Outside the community, Queen Creek's parks, trails and town events are a short drive away. If pickleball is a priority, my page on Queen Creek pickleball communities compares other options.
Fulton Homes says Ironwood Crossing is served by the J.O. Combs Unified School District. Listings in the community name Ranch Elementary, J.O. Combs Middle School and Combs High School. Fulton also notes a charter school inside the community, Legacy Charter School, which is a school of choice rather than an assigned school. Always confirm boundaries with the district for a specific address; living near a school does not guarantee a spot there. More on the district: homes in J.O. Combs Unified.
Listings name the homeowners association as Ironwood Crossing (sometimes "Ironwood Crossings"). The HOA maintains the parks, pool and common areas and enforces the community's CC&Rs. I could not find an official HOA website, so I ask for the current dues, any transfer or capital fees, and the CC&Rs during escrow for every home.
With many similar Fulton floor plans in one community, buyers compare homes closely. The homes that stand out are the ones with updated kitchens, a pool or extended patio, solar that is owned, and a location near a park. I price against the same plan and plat when I can, and I make sure the listing explains that the home is in Queen Creek. See how to price your Arizona home to sell.
