I'm Terry Day with DeLex Realty. Camino a Lago gives you newer homes in north Peoria at a range of sizes, with Lake Pleasant Parkway and the Loop 101 close by. Some sections were built recently, so you can find homes that are only a few years old without paying for a brand-new build. Camino a Lago sits in north Peoria, south of Deer Valley Road and roughly between 95th Avenue and 105th Avenue. Lake Pleasant Parkway, nearby, is the main road north toward Lake Pleasant. The name means "road to the lake" in Spanish, which fits the location. Loop 101 is a short drive south, and the Peoria Sports Complex and the P83 Entertainment District are close enough for a quick trip to a spring training game or dinner.
The commercial corner at Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road is known as Camino a Lago Marketplace, and part of that land was rezoned for a gated apartment community. Nearby, The Meadows by Maracay, at Deer Valley Road and 91st Avenue, is a separate neighborhood with its own HOA and amenity center, so check which community a home is actually in when you shop online.
D.R. Horton built Camino a Lago in sections. The older units date to about 2008, and newer parcels, recorded as Camino a Lago South, were completed in 2022 and 2024. Homes are single-family, with floor plans from about 1,600 to 3,200 square feet and 3 to 5 bedrooms. The newer sections are sold out by the builder, so today you are buying a resale home, often still young enough to have a builder warranty or modern energy features worth asking about.
Inside the neighborhood you will find a playground and walking and biking paths. Lake Pleasant Regional Park is up Lake Pleasant Parkway for boating, fishing and hiking, and the Peoria Sports Complex hosts spring training each year. For shopping, the Lake Pleasant Parkway and Loop 101 corridors have grocery stores, restaurants and the P83 Entertainment District.
Camino a Lago is in the Peoria Unified School District. Listings name different elementary and high schools for different streets, so confirm the assigned schools for a specific address with the district before you buy.
Camino a Lago has its own homeowners association, and listings note that common-area grounds maintenance is included. The older sections and Camino a Lago South may be managed under different associations, so ask for the HOA documents, the rules and any resale fees for the specific home.
Because the homes range from about 2008 to 2024, the age of the roof, AC and water heater can be very different from one house to the next, and I check those first. On newer homes, ask whether any builder warranty transfers and whether solar is owned or leased. Some homes in north Peoria have an assumable FHA or VA loan, which is worth a look.
